A GOLD AND ENAMEL MOURNING RING, 1774 inset with hair, the reverse enamelled in black SHOLTO CHARLES EARL OF MORTON AGED 41, 4.4g, size FSholto Charles Douglas, FRS, 15th Earl of Morton (1733-1774) succeeded his father, the 14th Earl in 1768 and was in turn succeeded by his 13 year old son George as the 16th Earl.
