A PAIR OF 9CT GOLD PRIZE MOTORCYCLING PRIZE CUFFLINKS won by George Brough one cast with emblematic figures of young women and inscription MOTOR CYCLING CLUB FOUNDED 1901 and engraved LONDON TO EXETER MOTOR CYCLE DEC 27-28 1926 G BROUGH, 18mm, by Mappin & Webb Ltd, Birmingham 1926, 14.7g and a personal Christmas card of George Brough signed "Kindest regards to you and yours from George & Mrs Brough (3)George Brough (1890-1970) creator of the Brough Superior, the 'Rolls Royce of Motorcyles', also enjoyed a hugely successful racing career. His crowning achievement came in 1928, when he recorded 130.6 mph at Arpajon, an unofficial world record speed on a solo motorcycle. He also competed in races and speed/endurance trials throughout Britain. Many of his silver racing trophies were sold in these 'rooms on 10 December 2009.
