A CALCUT POLYCHROME FLUTED TEA BOWL AND AN UN-ATTRIBUTED CONTEMPORARY ENGLISH TEA BOWL FROM THE SAME MOULD, C1794-96 8cm diamProvenance: (Calcut tea bowl with chinoiserie decoration) Godden Reference Collection.The second tea bowl from the same mould but of quite different body, glaze and footrim. The chinoiserie decoration on the Calcut tea bowl is so untypical of Shropshire porcelain that it may have been decorated elsewhere.
