INDIA. THE PHOTOGRAPH ALBUM OF BRIGADIER GENERAL ROBERT MITCHELL BETHAM, CIE (1864-1939), C1911-14 including views of Bombay, Hyderabad, Secunderabad and Coonoor, on manoeuvres, camp scenes, the social life of the British Raj, Suez Canal and Egypt, Malta, Killeaden House, including Emily and Mary Perry with Uncle Cooper's Stanley Steam Car, brother officers, Aldershot and Sandhurst, 190 mounted albumen and other photographs up to whole plate on linen hinged leaves, many loose, all captioned, half morocco, worn, boards detachedBrigadier General R M Betham was born at Dapoli, Bombay and died at Funchal, Maderia. In 1884 he served in the Zhob Valley expedition and the following year was seconded to the Bombay Staff Corps. In 1919 he was invested with the Most Eminent Order of the Indian Empire for Meritorious Services in connection with the war in India, and retired in 1921.
