A VICTORIAN OAK AND MAHOGANY THIRTY HOUR LONGCASE CLOCK LISTER AND BROMLEY, HALIFAX, C1810-14 the painted dial with cresentic lunar aperture and subsidiary date dial inscribed LISTER & BROMLEY HALIFAX, painted with two long tailed birds and fruit spandrels, the case with swan neck pediment and brass mounts, the trunk enclosed by an ogee door, on panelled base, 224cm hShortly before he died in 1814, Thomas Lister the younger, having no sons to succeed him, took into partnership his apprentice William Bromley. He traded from premises at 10 Duke Street, Halifax.
