[BINDINGS] HEWLETT, REVD JOHN - THE HOLY BIBLE containing the Old and the New Testament, and Apocrypha... Illustrated with One Hundred and Twenty Engravings. London, Longman (and others), 1812. 3 volumes, 4to, nicely bound in contemporary plum morocco, flat banded spines gilt, boards with a wide gilt border with leafy swags, circles and other devices within a triple gilt fillet, rubbed with some wear at the extremities. NOTE that despite the reference to 120 engravings in the title, this copy does not contain the plates, nor do they appear to have ever been bound in. Provenance: St John's College, Nottingham (3)
