First edition, cloth, library bookplate and stamps, presented by Weekley to the Nottingham Public Library, end-paper loose. Weekley married Frieda von Richthofen in 1899, with whom he had three children. In 1912, whilst still married to her husband Ernest, Frieda met D H Lawrence - a former student of her husband. Frieda and Lawrence soon embarked on a notorious love-affair which resulted in them eloping to Germany, with Frieda leaving her children behind. Following her divorce from Weekley, Frieda and Lawrence married in 1914 (2)
