[EARLY RAILWAY INTEREST] - A COLLECTION OF 6 FINE HAND-COLOURED EARLY 19TH CENTURY RAILWAY AQUATINTS BY THOMAS TALBOT BURY AND PUBLISHED BY R ACKERMANN Comprising the following : Entrance Into Manchester across Water Street; Railway Office Liverpool; Taking in water at Parkside (The Station where Mr Huskisson fell); Bridge over the Canal near Kings Langley; Viaduct at Watford; View taken from under the Hampstead Road Bridge. The first three dated 1831 and believed to be from Bury's 'Coloured Views on the Liverpool and Manchester Railway, published that year. The last three are all dated 1837 and have a captioned title 'LONDON AND BIRMINGHAM RAILROAD' at the top of each plate. All mounted/loosely mounted, and generally clean (6)
